 1981: M.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from University of Aarhus, Denmark
1985: Ph.D. in Physics from EU Joint Research Centre in Geel, Belgium
1985: Employed as Project Manager at Danish Technological Institute (DTI) to establish Tribology Centre with special focus on industrial application of Ion Implantation – but also including PVD, Plasma CVD and Plasma Nitriding and tribological testing.
1986 – 1987: Involved in establishing the Danfysik 1090 Accelerator
1992 – 2003: Centre Manager for DTI Tribology Centre
1999 – 2002: Centre Manager for DTI Materials Technology (including tooling, metal technology and plastics/polymer technology)
1989: Manager for a 4 year Danish R&D project on advanced surface treatment with partners from industry, University of Aarhus, DK and Technical University of Copenhagen and DTI Tribology Centre
1994: Manager of 3 year Danish R&D project on advanced surface treatment with partners from industry, University of Aarhus, DK and DTI Tribology Centre
1997: Manager of 4 year Danish R&D project on advanced surface treatment with partners from industry, University of Aarhus, DK and DTI Tribology Centre
1998 – 1999: Involved in establishing the Danfysik/Triion 1100 accelerator.
1998: Manager of Local Organizing Committee for NORDTRIB ’98, 8’th International Conference in Tribology.
2004: Managing Director of CemeCon Scandinavia A/S – a commercial job coating service centre, offering advanced surface treatment including Ion Implantation to industry.
