Dr.Angelo Yializis is the founder and president of Sigma Technologies International. Before that he spent six years as a co-founder and engineering VP of Spectrum Polytronics, a General Electric spin off operation in Tucson, AZ which manufactured surface mounted passive components. Previously, Dr. Yializis held several research and managerial positions at GE. He has extensive experience in the field of functionalizing material surfaces using various technologies that include plasma treatment and grafting, polymer coatings, nanomaterials, thin film coating technologies for optical, electrical, electronic, food and medical packaging, flexible displays and woven and non woven fabrics and engineered textiles. He received his B.Sc. in Applied Physics, at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia, A M.Sc. in Solid State Physics, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, at the University of Windsor. He is the recipient of the Canadian National Research Council graduate scholarship and other technology awards. He has 30 US patents and more than 50 journal and conference publications.
